We Are Proud to Serve The Triangle of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill

Since 2006, Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service has been taking care of chimneys and fireplaces across the triangle of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, and we have worked hard to become the most trusted chimney company in the area. Originally from Ireland, our owner, Robbie Markey, moved to North Carolina from New York and fell in love with this part of the country. Deciding to make this area his new home, Markey is very proud to serve the residents of the triangle of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Using his excellent business skills, Markey has hired and trained the best chimney sweeps to take care of all of the chimney maintenance, repair, and installation needs to this area. Our staff can perform everything from chimney sweepings to masonry repairs to dryer vent cleaning to fireplace insert installations. Whatever sort of fireplace or chimney need you may have, you can count on us to get the job done for you. We would like to tell you a bit more about our service area so you can see why we love the Triangle so much.

The Research Triangle

Since this area is anchored by three major universities, Duke University, North Carolina State University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, it became known as the “Research Triangle.” The research facilities at these universities as well as the educated workers they provide have attracted major businesses in this region for years. The nickname of the “Research Triangle” became cemented in the 1950’s when Research Triangle Park was opened to house several high-tech companies. Many people in the area simply refer to the region now as the “Triangle.”

Sports

While this area only has one major professional sports team, the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes, sports fans can still find plenty of events to take in here in the Triangle, thanks to the significant number of universities. This area is especially famous for basketball. In fact, the most famous basketball player of our time, Michael Jordan, got his start at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Along with UNC-Chapel Hill, Duke, and NC State. All three of these schools are in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and consistently produce high-quality college basketball teams. Rivalries here are very strong, as the schools are so close to each other. Our staff at Mr. Smokestack Chimney Service loves watching games during college basketball season, and we all look forward to March Madness, the NCAA college basketball tournament, to see how many of our teams make it in.We are to proud to serve the triangle of raleigh, durham, and chapel hill - Raleigh NC - Mr.Smokestack

Museums

The Triangle is home to many museums, and we would like to tell you about a couple of these that are very popular with kids. Located in downtown Raleigh, the Marbles Kids Museum features some awesome permanent interactive exhibits, including Around Town, IdeaWorks, Splash!, Moneypalooza, and Power2Play. Kids love to explore and learn more about the museum’s five initiatives, which focus on being healthy, active, connected, creative, and environmentally friendly. Another favorite for kids, the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center can be found in Chapel Hill on the campus of the University of North Carolina. One of the oldest and largest planetariums in the country, Morehead used to train astronauts in the last half of the 20th century. Today you can enjoy viewing the stars in the planetarium with its fulldome digital video projection system.
